Clothing is one of the basic needs of human beings and these clothes are needed to be sewn. All day long, people just shop at the mall to buy their dresses without even thinking where the dresses come from and how they are made. There are so many of them out there that people usually seen everyday these include stuffed toys, curtains, umbrellas, bags, shoes and upholstered furniture; all of them are made by sewing. People that live for almost 20,000 years ago have been sewing by joining things together using thread guided by needles. In the past, all of the materials they see have been sewn together. Bark, leathers and furs used to be sewn together using bone needles and animal sinews. As technology rises, a wide variety of sewing machines are available today. There are technical models, electronic models, quilting and shirring.

- Stitch Selector. There are dozens of programmed stitches. Dials or buttons on the front of the machine allow you to choose the type of stitch that matches your project.
